2012 Scrapbook Trend #10: Western Motifs

Welcome to the final posting of the 2012 Scrapbook Trends! The final trend is Western Motifs. I struggled with this one- a little bit- only because I wasn't sure if I could find the right project. I finally did and I love how it turned out! My whole project was done with the Old West cart, but there are many different carts that have Western images. My hubby fancies himself a cowboy, so I had to do this project about him. It was a lot of fun. The photo was taken at a Brad Paisley concert.
The layout designed was inspired by this weeks sketch at Stuck on you Sketches.
I modified it just a little bit, but hopefully stayed true to the basic design :) I changed the circle shape in the background to the "wanted" poster image and used the 3 ovals spaces for my western inspired die cuts.
I used a lot of Kraft and distressed it with Tim Holtz inks.
I love how these banners came out. They look like weathered Americana flags.
I added a few metal brads to accentuate the die cuts.
The title is one of the 'phrases' on the card. It fits my hubby well, he loves the idea of being an outlaw, lol! So that concludes my top Scrapbook trends of 2012 project! Guess I'll have to think of a new project (maybe using some of those Cricut carts collecting dust on my shelves???). Until next time, thanks so much for stopping by, and joining in this little scrappy journey :)

The Kraft and the distress ink really pulls everything together. I am sure your hubby totally loves this LO. I hope you are going to put this in a frame or a shadowbox.
