I used Sketch # 132 from Let's Capture These Sketches as my inspiration. This is a photo of hubby and I ;). I started with white cardstock and used some turquoise Smooch Spray to mist around a doily. I added my photo and some scalloped flowers that I cut from Mother's Day Bouquet. I layered on some tickets and bottle caps that I fussy cut from a patterned paper by Echo Park.
I learned this twine technique from a class I did on NSD. You basically take a glue dot and coil your twine around it. So fun! I can think of so many uses for this embellishment, but here I just used it as an accent.
Another new technique learned from NSD: making flags with paper clips. Again, many fun and different things you can do with this. One thing I like about it is the paper clips are sometimes easier to 'adhere' to your page as they can just clip onto something.I took some mistable flowers and stamped on them to create a little bit of color and then adhered with a brad.
I added one more layer with some washi tape, a border strip and another twine embellishment:
