Hello everyone and welcome to another challenge post for 4 Crafty Chicks! Sadly this is my last post as Guest Designer for them. It has truly been a pleasure creating with these talented ladies- they have really fun challenges and I will definitely be joining in on their challenges in the future!
So this week the theme is No Stamping. I thought it would be too easy to incorporate this into a layout, so I made a card this week! I needed a Mother's Day card anyway, so I made a Mother's Day card with NO stamping!! Here it is:
My mom loves yellow so I had to incorporate a lot of yellow into this. I decided to ink the edges of the layers because it just needed a little something more. The 'Mom' cut and the pinwheel were both cut from the Mother's Day 2010 cart. I didn't even realize that cart had this cute pinwheel on it! I was originally going to do flowers and changed my mind when I saw this!
Here is a better look at the pinwheel. I layered 2 Spellbinders die cuts under it. I secured the pinwheel arms with a sparkly brad.
I cut the 'Mom' sentiment with patterned paper, and cut the shadow layer as well to make it pop more, then accentuated some of the flourishes with yellow liquid pearls.
