Hello my friends! I am back with another project for Let's Capture our Memories!! One of the cool things that they are doing now is taking the sketch and showing how it can be incorporated into a 12x12 layout, 8 1/2 x 11 layout and a card. So if layouts just aren't your thing, then there are many other ways to participate! This week I am showing how to use the sketch as a 12x12 layout:
This darling paper is from Crate Paper, and it is a little busier than what I might normally use in a layout, but I REALLY liked the vintage children's book spines, and thought I could make it work. Here is the fun sketch I got to draw from:
I love these pictures of my niece's sharing a bike-- the picture's were actually taken about a year apart. Some things never change, lol! Here are some additional details:
I just LOVE the fun vintage toy shoppe element of this collection. Really really cute and fun for little girl pages. I layered some stickers in a little cluster for some embellishment around the title.
I can't tell you how much I LOVE this little girl- she was included in a die cut punch sheet with the collection. I popped her up on foam dots to really make her stand out.
Another quick and easy title using Thickers letter stickers. I like to mix colors and fonts (and sizes!) for added interest.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, and looking at my project- I hope you enjoyed it! Be sure to stop by Let's Capture Our Memories and join in the fun!!

Face Paint for Sketches in Thyme
Hello folks! I have a layout to share with you today for Sketches in Thyme. This week we have another awesome double page layout to share with you. I know many of you love the double pagers. Personally, I prefer the single page, so I just converted it to a single page. Easy peasy!! Here is my layout:
How cute is my niece Emma!! She was so stoked to get the cute turtle painted on her face. She is totally at the age now where she loves to mug for the camera. This is totally beneficial to her aunt the scrapbooker, aka the "paparazzi". I used Crate Paper's conveniently titled "Emma's Shoppe". LOVE this collection, has a really cool vintage vibe, with a toy shoppe theme that is perfect for little girls. Here are some details:
I layered some fun stickers and cutouts in a cluster for embellishment. I popped some of them up on foam dots for extra dimension. I utilized some of the stickers for journaling as well. I am not big on journaling, usually just a simple name, date and location is all I need.
These thickers have a fuzzy/velvet finish. It's hard to see in the photo, but I like the texture it adds to the layout.
Here is the awesome layout we have to play with this week- be sure to come and join us in the fun!

I am watching you... for LCOM!!
Hello everyone! I am very pleased to announce that I was recently selected to be a part of the Let's Capture our Memories design team! I have followed this blog for a long time, and have always been inspired by the talented ladies over there, so I am very flattered to be a part of the team, and I hope that I can inspire some as well! ;)
First up we have an awesome sketch to play with from the lovely and talented Isabelle:
I flipped this baby on its side, and came up with this 12x12 layout:
I was playing around with my camera settings one day with furbaby June as my guinea pig/subject. I ended up with this great shot that really portrays her sweet spirit. Here are a couple close ups:
All of the paper and cut-outs/stickers are from Crate Paper. I liked this little calendar piece. It didn't show up very well in the main photo, so here is a (slightly better) close up. I am also obsessed with vintage cameras as a design element. So I added one.
I also had some fun with the title. June is always 'watching' me. Very closely. ESPECIALLY if I have food.
So there's my layout, I hope you enjoyed it. Be sure to head on over to LCOM to get ideas on the many different ways you can utilize the sketch, then join us and create a project of your own!
