Just Be Little for Scrapbook USA Expo

Hi all! I'm back again with another project for Scrapbook USA Expo! For this project I was able to make a fun layout using some absolutely adorable Imaginisce product. I simply adore this line, so fun for childhood layouts and I had the perfect photo of my daring nephew, Liam, to go with it!

Pulling this layout together was so easy thanks to all the cute coordinating stickers- and there were even some fun stamps to use!

I loved the sentiments in these banner stickers, they went with my photo so perfectly.

I like using coordinating journal cards to double for my titles sometimes. It makes pulling a layout together so much faster and easier, and sometimes the sentiment is just what I had in mind! I love this one: Just Be Little.

I also loved this banner sentiment- Cherish the Little Things. All of the product was so perfect for photos of children at play. I added some miscellaneous brads and buttons for a little added character and layout done! I hope you enjoy it!

It's a Miracle

Hi, I'm back with another new project to share with you today! Since I don't have an actual baby to scrapbook yet I decided to do a page with my ultrasound picture! I have been told my baby boy is quite photogenic already ;) This is such an exciting and joyful time for me, I am very excited to be able to share it. Here is my layout:

 Having suffered pregnancy losses in the past, and having come to terms with the fact that having children of my own just might not be in the cards for me this baby really IS a miracle. Babies like mine are often referred to as "rainbow babies" as in the rainbow at the end of the storm. Isn't that sweet? Anyway, about my project. The background newsprint paper is from DCWV, and the rest is Echo Park, including the title, stickers and letter stickers.

I'm not usually big on journaling unless there is more to the story than what's told through the title and photos on the page. In this case I had a little more to add.

Is it a boy or a girl? It's a MIRACLE. That is my full title. I added a little rosette embellishment from American Crafts.

Love the film strip border sticker. Overall this was a fairly easy page to pull together. I hope you enjoyed it, and thanks for stopping by!

Baby Bump for Scrapbook USA Expo

Hi everyone! I'm back today with a project for Scrapbook USA Expo! For those of you that missed my last post: I've had a lot of changes in my life in the last several months- the biggest one being that I am now expecting my first child- a boy!- in January. I am over the moon, and especially happy that I can now make layouts of my own child rather than "borrowing" nieces and nephews :) I got some really fun Fancy Pants Designs product to play with for this project, so pulling this layout together was easy. I especially loved the "flair" that goes with this line- really fun! I wanted to take some photos to document my growing baby bump, so here is the first one:

The baby feet were cut from the New Arrival Cartridge with my Cricut machine from the coordinating cardstock that matched this line. I added a little ink to make it stand out. Love that "Happy" flair button!

This line included a sheet of cut-apart border strips as well as some cute border stickers. I tried to utilize both!

Another fun flair button, and some journaling on a die-cut ticket shape.

I used thickers for my title, I like to mix fonts and colors. I really wanted this one to stand out!

A New Beginning...

HIYA!!! I bet many of you have been wondering where the heck I have been! I can't believe I haven't posted anything since last April! No I did not die, or quit scrapbooking and blogging. It's been a pretty crazy Spring and Summer with a lot of changes. I have moved twice in the past several months, and did not have a crafting space for quite a few months. I also got divorced last year, and met someone new in the Spring- and he is fantastic! But most importantly- we are expecting a baby in January! A baby boy! This is my first child, as many of you know, I "borrow" my nieces and nephews on a fairly regular basis because I didn't have children of my own. Now I will be able to scrapbook and document my OWN baby boy! So there's the lengthy explanation, and now on to a new project to share with y'all!

I'm not sure if many of you are aware, but I have been designing for DCWV for close to a year now. They have been an amazing, inspirational and generous company to design for and I have been honored to be on their team. So for this project I used their Linen Closet stack. This stack has a lovely natural cream, blue and brown palette with pretty gold foil accents. Lots of fun journaling and title cards as well. I really like it a lot. Here is a photo of the stack:

These are fussy cut from the journaling/title card pages. A lot of cute sayings are included in this stack. I also cut a border piece from the Ribbons and Rosettes cartridge and used the negatives (positives?) as confetti in a couple places on the page.

I fussy cut some honeycomb shapes from one of the papers in the stack and then layered them on pop-dots to add a little dimension and make them stand out from the background paper. You can also get a better look at the heart "confetti".

Made the title with Thickers. I am finding I am turning to these more and more these days because it is just so much faster and easier and I really love the way they makes my pages pop.

I repeated the honeycomb shapes and heart confetti on the top right of the page as well.

I hope you enjoyed my project. I wish it hadn't been so long since I've posted anything, but I plan on being a more frequent crafter and blogger now that things have settled a bit!
