New Brother for Practical Scrappers

Hello! Today I have a special project for you for Practical Scrappers. I created this layout using my Imagine. I love how the Imagine is so multi-functional. I was able to print my papers and coordinate my other Cricut cuts so everything on my page is cohesive. Here is my layout:
These are photos of my nephew Bailey holding his brand new baby brother. Isn't he the sweetest!! So for my base page I used a paper from My Mind's Eye. It has a very faint woodgrain texture that was not too overwhelming, and the color matched my other papers quite well. I printed 3 12 x 12 sheets from the Imagine Hopscotch cartridge: a cloud pattern, a letter pattern and a yellow pattern, and then cut my layers from there. This is where the fun part begins! One of the cool things about the Imagine is that you can cut images from your regular Cricut cartridges, and then fill them with colors and patterns from your Imagine cartridges. I inserted the New Arrival cartridge, and selected 3 of the Onesie image, and then filled it with 3 different patterns from Hopscotch. All the patterns coordinate together, so you really can't go wrong! I then selected the 1:2 box from the Imagine machine menu five times at 2", and filled each box with a solid color from the cartridge's palette. I used the strips to cut banner pennants with a Spellbinder's die. I then assembled this banner:
Everything coordinates perfectly! I added some baker's twine and cute mini clothespins for added interest.
Next I selected the 'New Arrival' phrase and filled it with another color from the palette. I only used the 'New' portion of the phrase, and then added letter stickers to form my whole title: New Brother.
The duck is another image that is available on the Imagine machine menu. I filled it with the same yellow from the cartridge palette.
Thank you so much for stopping by today- I hope you have enjoyed my project! Make sure you check out the Practical Scrappers blog- your own project could be featured!

Patches of Pink April Project: Babies

Hi everyone, and welcome back! Today I am posting my project for Patches of Pink's April link party and our theme is Babies!! I decided to make a card. My little sis is expecting her 4th boy (!) so I thought this might come in handy ;) Here is my card:

The background paper is some scrap from a sheet I printed off of the Imagine More Cards cart. The border strips were detachable strips from some American Crafts paper- I really went to the stash for this one, lol!
I added some stickles to accent the rattle, and added a button with some baker's twine.
Still not sick of banners! For this one I cut the banner shapes with a Spellbinder's die and accentuated the polka dots with some more stickles, and added some baker's twine.
The sentiment stamp is from Pink by Design.

Thanks for stopping by today, and please join us over at Patches of Pink with your baby related projects!!
