Hello and welcome back! Today I have another layout to share with you on behalf of ScrapbookPal.com. I posted a previous layout about my sweet little girl and how she loves to burrow under blankets. Well the other day I was crafting away in my scrap room and I turned around to find that she had 'burrowed' under a piece of blanket that was hanging over the bed. SO cute! I was happy she held her place long enough for me to snap some photos. Here it is:
My design was inspired by a sketch from Let's Capture These Sketches (# 129) All of the paper (except the 12x12 kraft base) was printed on my Imagine using the Blossom cartridge. I have posted before about how much I love the Imagine. With layouts like this, where you have many different pieces, it makes it SO seamless. You know all the patterns on the cartridge will coordinate so it takes out the guesswork or worry about using pieces that don't match. Here is a close up of some of the layering:
There are 5 different patterns in this section. The scalloped circles are one of the images that come loaded onto the Imagine machine. I used my Scotch ATG to adhere them to the page, but some of the little scallops wanted to stick up a little bit. I just used my Zig glue pen to get under it and put them back in place!
I kinda borrowed the title from one of those sites that posts pet photos with funny captions. I thought this title was perfect, as well as funny, silly and cute, lol! I cut the title from the Type Candy cartridge also using the Imagine. I filled the letters in with coordinating colors from the cartridge's palette, then did the same with the shadow feature. So nice to not have to look through my stash to find matching cardstock! I then mixed in some letter stickers for added interest. I like to use my Xyron sticker machine when adhering letters to my page- it is the easiest way to get those little pieces onto the page!
I cut more scallop circles at 4", 3" and 2" (2 each) in 6 different patterns. I layered them, offset and a little off the page and then added a wooden button and some baker's twine, adhered with a glue dot.
Lastly I took 3 more strips from the patterns I had printed and ran one piece through a lacy border punch.
Thanks so much for looking at my project today! Please see the complete ScrapbookPal.com supply list below so you can purchase some of these goodies for yourself!!

Life throws curveballs
Hello friends! You may (or may not) have noticed that I've been a little absent lately. Just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I haven't fallen off the face of the earth, but I have had some setbacks and am forced to take a break. I am currently trying to figure out a way to continue to create, so I hope to pop in here and there over the summer with a new project (fingers crossed!!) but I did have to resign from several design teams (sad face!!) and right now I'm just trying to get my bearings again!! Hopefully by the fall I will be re-settled and back with all new projects and (hopefully) more design team work. Thank you to all who have offered their support, it means the world to me!! Until next time :)

ScrapbookPal Post: Father's Day Card
Hello crafty friends! I have a Father's Day card to share with you today for my ScrapbookPal.com post! So first I have to explain that my dad is into anything Harley or motorcycle related. I have given him motorcycle cards in the past, so this time I just wanted a little of that 'flavor'. Here is my card:
The dotted overlay is a cool image that I just stumbled upon when browsing through my Graphically Speaking cartridge book. I thought it was really cool and had a sort of machine-esque vibe. Because of all the open holes, I wasn't quite sure what kind of adhesive to use. I ultimately decided to go with a glue stick and it worked out great! Of course I had to throw some orange in there for Harley!
I like to use the diamond plate embossing folder on my Dad's card. It's DEFINITELY motorcycle related! I inked it up with some distress ink so the embossing would stand out a bit more.
I added a little sentiment stamp from Pink by Design that I thought my dad would dig. This stamp is actually from the Inner Princess set. Just goes to show you can always find unique ways to use the sentiments in your stamp sets.
This is the interior of the card. I cut out the shape from Elegant Edges, then printed out the 'Happy Father's Day' sentiment on my computer. I saw this tip online and it was quite easy! I typed up the sentiment and sized it to the way I wanted it, then I printed it out on a regular piece of paper. I then adhered my shape over the printing (I positioned it based on where I wanted it to print) with repositionable adhesive and ran it through the printer again. This was the end result- I was quite happy with it! I just hope my dad is too ;)

Practical Scrappers - Summer
Hello and thanks for visiting today! Today is my day to post for Practical Scrappers and today we are highlighting layouts about Summer! I recently got my paws on the awesome Echo Park Hello Summer line, and it makes those summer pages really quick and easy! As a matter of fact, this page is really simple and could be thrown together in under an hour! Here it is:
My layout design was inspired by a Page Maps sketch. I noticed the coordinating papers that came with this line had the look of a white misting or paint splatter on them. I didn't have one in the green that I wanted, so I just used green cardstock and misted it with some Mister Hueys spray mist.
I took the zig zag pattern (border feature) from the Sophisticated cartridge and welded three of them together with my Gypsy to form this border. I cut one more out and adhered it on the other side.
I am getting a lot of mileage out of these paper clip flags that I learned from the Echo Park blog on NSD. It is a quick and easy little accent to add something to your page.
The whole title was made with letter stickers from the Hello Summer collection, as well as the banner border. And that is it- it's that easy!! I hope I have inspired you to make some Summer pages, and be sure to join us on Tuesday's at Practical Scrappers for some great ideas on several different ways to use one product! Thanks for stopping by!
